The Barney S. Fujimoto Memorial Scholarship is provided each year to Big Island seniors by HPM Building Supply. The scholarship was established in 1973 to recognize achievement and promote excellence by awarding $1,000 scholarships to selected Big Island seniors who plan to attend an institution within the University of Hawai`i system. The scholarships are in memory of Barney S. Fujimoto, a past officer of HPM Building Supply who held very strong convictions about the merits of higher education.
